March 5-9: Lahaska Restaurant Week

“Dine out and celebrate the 4th Annual Lahaska Restaurant Week, Sunday March 5, through Thursday March 9, 2017. Earl’s New American will join returning restaurants Porterhouse Restaurant & Pub, Villaggio Cucina, Caleb’s American Kitchen and The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm. Each restaurant will offer three course prix fixe dinners for $30, not including tax and gratuity. Don’t stop with dinner! The Inn at Barley Sheaf will also offer a prix fixe brunch. Lahaska and the surrounding area is home to excellent attractions. Spend a day exploring the beautiful Bucks County countryside, enjoy one-of-a-kind shopping and explore the area’s history, arts and culture. Extend your visit with a stay at one of Bucks County’s famous bed and breakfast and country inns.”


March 5-15: Hopewell Valley Restaurant Week

“Local restaurants have cooked up some special menus and some yummy surprises for our second annual restaurant week. So gather up your friends and visit a new bistro or an old favorite.  And while you’re there, please support FISH, a local non-profit that provides meals to the homebound and elderly.”


March 9: Back to Nature Home & Garden Cocktail Class (Baskin Ridge, NJ)

“With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, we’ve got some drink-spiration for you that’s a little more than Guinness and Irish Whiskey. The ingredients are all natural and free from artificial dyes which will be sure to make your friends and family green with envy. We will also demo some quick and easy dips and spreads. Menu includes unique drinks such as Cucumber Mint Gimlet, Ginger Apple Martini and Honeydew Pear Sangria.”


March 11: Taste of New Jersey (West Windsor, NJ)

“The ‘Taste of New Jersey’ will deliver a creative winter menu inspired by the farmers, fisherman, and producers of the Garden State. Guests will enjoy ‘signature crop cocktails’ (Blueberry, cranberry, peaches) cocktails, locally distilled spirits, wine and craft beer, appetizer and dinner stations, and desserts which will be sure to highlight the best of New Jersey agriculture! Prize raffles and musical entertainment will compliment the evening. Join us for great food for a great cause in supporting our programs: New Jersey Farmers Against Hunger, Learning Through Gardening, and the New Jersey Agricultural Leadership Development Program. Tickets are $ Suggested dress – formal (but not a black tie gala).”

March 12: Sand Castle Winery Winemaker’s Dinner (Erwinna, PA)

“Come spend an afternoon at Sand Castle Winery with Winemaster Joseph Maxian and Executive Chef of The Red Cedar Grille, Theo Charitos. Experience a seven course dinner matching all courses with Sand Castle’s exceptional wine. Menu includes dishes like Smoked portabello mushroom, sun dried tomato and shredded kale, potato gnocchi tossed in a citrus zested aglio olio, topped with shaved manchego and a 12 hour braised duck confit, honey crisp apple fondu sweet potato and boursin cake, candied pepper bacon crispy leeks.”


March 18: Latin Plates Farm to Table Dinner (Hopewell, NJ)

“Sit down at one of our 4 community tables with family and friends for a meal served family-style using fresh, local ingredients from the farm. This is casual dining at its best, with an emphasis on home-style cooking: dishes of tasty food served on platters to be passed around the table. There will be multiple choices for starters, sides, mains, breads and desserts – keeping even the most discerning (i.e. picky) eaters happy. Latin Plates menu includes ceviche de coco, crispy confit pork shank and more!”


March 19: Bucks, Bacon and Beer (New Hope, PA)

“Join us Sunday, March 19th from Noon – 4 pm for the 4th Annual Bucks, Bacon & Beer, sponsored by Bucks County Taste and Triumph Brewing Company of New Hope, taking place at 400 Union Square Drive, New Hope, PA 18938. Due to the popularity of this event, we are offering 2 different ticket times. Ticket entrances will be Noon ($45) and 2:00pm ($40). It’s all about the bacon! Be it smoked, cured, artisanal, or non-nitrate, come and taste the best. Enjoy locally sourced and locally made bacon, sausage, cheese and other delectable foods from local purveyors, farmers and butchers. Enjoy a barrel tapping of a sweet beer, brewed by Triumph Brewing Company. Take your chance on a raffle with delicious prizes (hint: do you want even more bacon?) and enjoy live music. Tickets $40-45 (plus applicable fees) – includes admission to the event, 2 pints of Triumph Beer, a commemorative glass, and all the bacon, sausage, cheese and more that you can eat. You must be 21 years or older to attend this event.”


March 19-23: Delaware River Towns Restaurant Week

“More than 33 participating restaurants from Lambertville, New Hope, Centre Bridge, Frenchtown, Lumberville, Stockton, Washington Crossing, and Point Pleasant will offer either a $35.00 prix fixe fine-dining menu or a $25.00 prix fixe casual-dining menu during the five-day celebration of the Delaware River Towns’ best eateries.”


March 22: Caleb’s Restaurant Table Talk (Lahaska, PA)

“Our next scheduled Table Talk with local brewery Free Will is on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Join us and guest hosts Samantha Seltzer and Hannah Gohde of Perkasie local brewed Free Will. Enjoy 3-course special dinner for $35/person. Complimentary tastings offered. Must be 21 years or older. Menu items include “Vienna Lager” Candied Bacon Strip and ow County Shrimp and Grits with “Techno IPA” butter sauce. Click the link above for a full menu.”


March 25: Foodshed Alliance Gala (Blairstown, NJ)

“Join us at the first annual Foodshed Alliance Gala Celebration of Local Food, Local Farms & Local Heroes! Chefs’ Throwdown & Open Bar: Feast on appetizers, main courses and desserts created with the finest local ingredients at eight tasting stations prepared before you by our region’s finest chefs. Let them entertain and inform you with their cooking techniques and tips! Open bar features NJ wines, craft beer and spirits. March 26: The Taste of Summit (Summit, NJ)

“Come dine and socialize with your family, friends and neighbors at the 30th Annual “Taste of Summit” hosted by the Grand Summit Hotel located at 570 Springfield Avenue in Summit.  The ‘Taste of Summit’ is a gourmet extravaganza featuring more than 20 of Summit’s finest restaurants and food merchants.  Each restaurant will be serving delicious “tastes” showcasing their special dishes spanning many cuisines, including Italian, Japanese, American and Mexican.  There will also be scrumptious desserts from Summit’s finest bakers and a cash bar. During the Taste of Summit, we will draw the winning raffle ticket for a Private Craft Beer Dinner for the winner and 19 guests.  The craft beers will be given by NJ’s Kane Brewery and the food will be catered by chefs from the Grand Summit Hotel’s HAT Tavern.”


March 27: JOCEF “Recipe for Success” (Middletown, NJ)

“The Joe Romanowski Culinary Education Foundation was established in the memory of chef Joseph Romanowski who mentored and nurtured many of the Jersey Shore’s finest up-and coming chefs. Romanowski was chef and owner at his highly acclaimed restaurants, Joe and Maggie’s Bistro in Long Branch and Bay Ave Trattoria in Highlands. General admission tickets are on sale now for this evening that features tastings from over 20 of the Jersey Shore’s best restaurants, samples of beer, wine and spirits, an oyster bar with ice luge, the opportunity to taste rare wines by the glass and live, silent and chance auctions.”
