August 5-6: Peach Festival

Terhune Farms (Princeton, NJ)

“Celebrate Summer at Terhune Orchards Peach Festival. The weekend will be filled with plenty of activities for kids, including a ride through the orchards on our tractor-drawn wagons, pony rides, face painting, games and barnyard fun. Enjoy live music each day and have lunch in our Everything Peachy Food tent. Our ‘Summer Harvest Farm-to-Fork Tasting’ features talented local chefs who will prepare creative dishes using peaches and produce from Terhune Orchards. Visitors can enjoy this special tasting event on Saturday and Sunday from 12-4 p.m. in our big red barn. The special tasting section is $12 per person. Pam Mount’s popular free canning class will be held during the festival at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Cooking demonstrations and lively discussions will be held on both days at 2 p.m. with two very special guest presenters. You will love the internationally inflected, peachy inspiration from these fun and tasty programs.”

 

August 7-13: Restaurant Week & Pop-Up Farmers Market

Hopewell Borough

“Hopewell Borough eateries will be serving up something extra delicious in August. For the first time, Hopewell will have a Summer Restaurant Week. This is the time when local farms have many items in season, so be sure to check out our menus to see who is featuring local foods from your favorite farms. To recognize the fresh products produced in our community we will host a farmers market that showcases some of the farms that provide ingredients to our Borough restaurants at 52 East Broad Street, Hopewell, NJ 08525 (Courtyard between Antimo’s & PNC bank) on Wednesday August 9th 2017, 3-7pm”

 

August 12-13: TPRFM Takes Over Neshaminy Creek

Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company (Croydon, PA)

“The Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market returns to Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company for a TWO DAY Summer edition of the TPRFM on August 12th (12pm-7pm) and Sunday August 13th (10am-5pm)!

Featuring:
– Over 100 different, unique, hand-picked vendors accounting for over 175 tables EACH DAY!
– Different food trucks EACH DAY!
– Full line of Neshaminy Creek beers on tap w/drink specials all day!
– FREE Live Music & After Party on Saturday beginning at 7:00pm in the brewery!
– The legendary TPRFM Black Swag Bags to the first 100 punks in line EACH DAY!”

 

August 16: New England Style Clambake

12 Farms (Hightstown, NJ)

“Enjoy chowder, steamers, corn on the cob, boiled potatoes and Maine lobsters and peach cobbler all for $35.  Reservations are required.  We are doing family style, all people seated at large tables.”

 

August 20: Food & Wine Walk

Red Bank, NJ

“Red Bank’s walkable downtown district is home to a broad array of upscale restaurants and casual eateries that will please everyone’s palate. Join us for the Food & Wine Walk as we celebrate Red Bank’s wide assortment of culinary offerings. Explore picturesque Red Bank while enjoying food and/or beverage samples at over 20 participating restaurants, bars & eateries.”

 

August 26: Farm to Table Dinner

Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm (Jobstown, NJ)

“We have partnered with Toscano Ristorante & Steak House to offer an elegant, unique, dining experience, Saturday August 26th 6-9pm we will be hosting a Farm to Table Dinner. Chefs Zack & Dominic will be preparing an exceptional meal using the finest local ingredients featuring Locust Hall Farm’s seasonal fruit & vegatables.The event will offer cocktails (BYOB welcomed & cash bar offered), appetizers, & live music in our stone barn, scenic evening farm tour, 4 course dinner in our rustic breezeway barn. Seats are limited for this event, early reservations are encouraged.”

 

August 27: Farm to Fork Dinner

Alba Vineyard (Milford, NJ)

“A cocktail hour and seven-course wine-pairing dinner will be presented by seven of New Jersey’s most reputable chefs, featuring locally produced food from farms throughout northern New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. Expert winemakers have hand selected each course’s pairing which will begin with gourmet passed hors d’oeuvres and a VIP vineyard tour, and conclude with elegant dining under a big tent outside.”
